Carter's teacher asked the parents to review the kids schoolwork that comes home. Anything that has a check by it is incorrect and she wants us to have the kids correct any mistakes they made. After reviewing Carter's schoolwork, I found that her work is perfect but she keeps getting quite a few checks because she doesn't put her name on her paper. I went over this with her today and Carter whined about it taking too long to write her name with a capital and lower case letters. I explained that if she didn't put her name on her papers, her teacher wouldn't know which one was hers. Carter said, "Yes she will. It'll be the one with no name on it." Gotta love Kindergarten logic.

What a clever answer from a 5 year-old girl.

I'm on Carter's side. She got her work back, didn't she?

I miss Carter. Good thing you didn't give her a longer name.
